I think I have damaged or scratched the new skin. This is day 8. It has been very uncomfortable, very tight and still very itchy.
Answer: Scratches after CO2 laser You have re-epithelialized by 7 days but the skin is very delicate and susceptible to scratches. If itchy, light rubbing is much preferred to scratching for this reason. See your doctor for his preferred management at this point, as you don't want to get any scarring from them.

Answer: Scratching after fractional CO2 Thank you for your question madisonaidan. Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is an outstanding treatment that can address multiple aspects of aging in a single treatment. It is important to avoid scratching the skin after this treatment. Itching can be treated with occlusive moisturizers. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

Answer: Damaged skin after resurfacing the pictures you posted shows a great CO2 laser response and then it seems that you had scratched the skin. It is best to see your physician as soon as possible. avoid further scratching and you probably can take benadryl for itching (ask your doctor). They seem on the picture not too deep and may recover fine with good post care so seeing your doctor is much more important.
