26 days post DOT laser resurfacing on my entire face. I am developing hyper pigmentation . I am avoiding sun, using sunblock. Do I get rid of this discoloration? How long do I use hydrocortisone or hydroquinone. How long will it take for brown marks to disappear? Does indirect sunlight affect the skin? How long does the result of laser will last? My skin color is 3, in the scale of 1 to 10, 1 being white. Thank you in advance

I would suggest seeing a Medical Esthetician who is trained in treating skin after a CO2 treatment.
Here at our office our medical esthetician always give our patients a post skin care treatment which
helps exfoliate the dry skin.
Good luck to you.
The density of fractional laser resurfacing and your skin type will play an important part regarding intervals. For fair skin, I usually wait 4-10 weeks, for darker skin types, usually 6-12 weeks. The use of SPF and bleaching agents can also help reduce unwanted pigmentation between treatments....
Settings are adjusted to the individual. I recommend following up with your Dr. about any concerns you may have about settings. Keep in mind that Co2 works best in combination with other treatments like microneedling/prp and Sculptra. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
