Varicose veins are a progressive disease that can lead to many different health complications if left untreated. Your board certified plastic surgeon (BCPS) may request an evaluation by a vascular surgeon to check your veins prior to approving you for a BBL. Consult via email or Skype with a BCPS who can determine the areas of your anatomy where fat can be harvested for the BBL. The surgeon can avoid the varicose vein areas when liposuctioning for transfer to the buttocks.
Dear Gbaby77, thanks for sharing your question and photo, it al depends in every plastic surgeon what he thinks about perform a procedure in your case. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon in order to discuss risks and options. Hope this helps and best of lucks! Dr. Luis Mejia.
Only on the basis of in person consultation and discussion about risks involved, one experienced, board certified plastic surgeon could make such a decision. Good luck.
Dear gbaby77,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Dear Gbaby,You did not specify if you wanted your legs liposuction or if you felt that having bad varicose leg veins was a contraindication for having a BBL??You may still have liposuction and even liposuction of your legs with varicose veins. Care must be taken if liposuctioning your legs. First, a vascular consult is sometimes in order to make sure that the deeper larger veins inside your legs are working correctly. If not liposuctioning your legs while performing your BBL, you should be fine as long as you do not have serious medical conditions or risk factors.Dr. t
It’s up to each individual surgeon how they feel about doing a BBL in your case. The picture does show varicose vein‘s but it doesn’t show your bottom so it’s hard to make an assessment if you’re a good candidate for a BBL. It looks like you have a somewhat uneven skin contour with cellulite which makes you a lesser candidate for the BBL procedure.I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons who have experience with this procedure.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Dear shanna536, generally speaking, you want to reach your goal weight before you consider a tummy tuck, otherwise your results will be suboptimal if you continue to lose weight after the surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon....
Hello m.cokex, as long as you are otherwise a good candidate (ie, no other medical problems, acceptable height/weight, etc), and you don't have an acute flair of your crohn's, you should be ok to have a BBL. However, you would want your plastic surgeon to be in communication with your GI doc...
Hi there, thank you for your question. you should not compress on your buttocks after the surgery. That's why, you can only sleep on your stomach or sides for 1 month.
