Normal creatinine levels are 0.5 to 1.2 mg/dL in healthy adults. Above that range, the lab results could indicate that your kidneys may not be functioning adequately. Is your creatinine level typically over 1.2? Young or middle-aged adults who are muscular or athletic may have higher creatinine levels due to greater muscle mass. Older patients who are dehydrated or have infections may have elevated creatinine levels as well. Inform your board certified PS and he/she will determine if this slight elevation is reason to postpone the BBL.

Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Hello m.cokex, as long as you are otherwise a good candidate (ie, no other medical problems, acceptable height/weight, etc), and you don't have an acute flair of your crohn's, you should be ok to have a BBL. However, you would want your plastic surgeon to be in communication with your GI doc...
Hi there, thank you for your question. you should not compress on your buttocks after the surgery. That's why, you can only sleep on your stomach or sides for 1 month.
I have not found cell saver to be necessary or useful in a BBL. The surgery can be shortened or the number of procedures reduced. Patients whose hemoglobin falls between 11.0 and 11.9 may qualify for the use of the cell saver. The machine collects any blood lost, filters it, and inserts it back...
