I want to get 1000 cc plus breast implants?

I currently have 660cc saline high profile breast implants but I want to go to 1000cc plus breast implants how can I find a doctor in southern California who can perform this ?thank you

Over time an implant of that size will most certainly cause problems including sagging, skin laxity, and thinning of tissue.

The largest size silicone implant available in this country is 800 cc.  Therefore the only way to achieve a 1,000 cc augmentation is to overfill an 800 cc saline implant. I have done this on numerous occasions.  However, you must be aware that any implant this size is quite heavy and will exert more stretch force on your existing breast tissue. Also, when a saline is overfilled to this extent it will be quite firm, round, and may be prone to premature rupture or leak.  Having said this, some patients looking for a large augmentation choose this option and are generally happy with their decision. I hope this information helps!Thomas Taylor, MD, FACSPasadena, CA

I don't think 1000 cc implants are a good idea at all, but I can assure you that you will be able to find a surgeon more than willing to do it.  In my opinion, too much weight, and there will eventually be problems with sagging and thinning if the skin that will be hard to reverse.

You may find that doctor but currently 1000 cc implants do not exist.  Even if they did,  the size and weight of these implants would more than likely cause you significant skin issues in the future.

This is a question that is hard to answer without photos and an exam.  You already have quite large implants, so it is appropriate to consider your reasons for wanting to go bigger.  There are also long-term implications to larger implants to consider.  That said, this is usually not a difficult operation and I have many patients who make an informed decision about this and are very pleased with their results.

is not difficult in your part of California.  Before you go ahead and have this done, please examine your motivations and understand what results you will have and what the long term outcome will be as your tissue will stretch out and you will need more complex procedures AND downsizing to allow you to continue using implants.  Do you really want to go there for the short term 'benefit' that you feel you will get from going that large?  Just make sure you know what to expect and what kinds of procedures you will need down the road so get fully informed.

Thank you for the question.  Keep in mind as you are thinking about your goals that sometimes adjustment of the breast implant pockets (capsule adjustments) may be necessary to achieve the outcome you are looking for.  .

Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary (downsizing) breast augmentation surgery is:

1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.

2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. 
In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “extra large” or "fake, round” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful.
Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate.

3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your chosen plastic surgeon to work with you in determining the best plan to achieve your goals.

If you look hard enough, you will be able to find a surgeon who would be willing to place you with a 1000cc implant, but first ask yourself if this is the safe thing to do? With larger implants come additional problems such as skin stretching and thinning, and bottoming out of the implants. You may be looking at several more procedures in the future and thousands of more dollars spent correcting the damage done over time from having implants that large.On the flip side, patients with larger frames may be able to handle larger implants. The wider your breast footprint, the larger volume you'll be able to tolerate. My best advice to you is to have several consultations with board-certified plastic surgeons in your area. Most consultations are performed free of charge, so the only investment on your part is your time. If the majority consensus amongst the board-certified surgeons is not to proceed with this large of a device, then I would strongly urge you to heed the advice. Best of luck!
