Will wearing the binder post op keep augmented breasts closer together?

I had 371 mod plus on my first BA. Didn't like the size or large gap so had am implant exchange for 750cc hp. PS told me to wear binder the first 24 hrs then switch to sports bra. I'm just wondering if I used the binder longer will it keep my breasts closer together and prevent the gap and my breasts going outwards too much (in my final result).
