Bump on side of nose after accidental hit a year ago, will it ever go away? (photo)

Question

My nose has always been very nice until it got hit about a year ago as something fell right on top of it. I slowly developed this bump on the side bone. Almost feels like a ball and instead of getting smaller with time I feel like it is getting bigger. Any chance it subsides? Do I need surgery? Very disappointed with the way it look as it used to be perfectly straight. Posted a picture of both sides so you can see the difference.

Most likely represents a fracture of the cartilage and bone in the keystone area of the nose.  Rasping this down would correct it.

As the bump is there following injury and it is there for one year i think it require some sort of surgical intervention after evaluation

Even without a true fracture a traumatic injury can result in periosteal reaction with callus formation and a resultant "bump". If its been there for a year it will most likely not go away by itself and will need some form of surgical correction.

If it has been a year and has only gotten worse, most likely it is not going away.This is most likely callus formation from a broken nose. Rhinoplasty, in which the nasal bone is rasped in the area, should fix the problem. Patients often require septoplasty at the same time to get a straighter nose, but I can't tell from your photos whether or not you would fall into this category.

Facial scan/MRI indicated. But either way you need surgical intervention to correct the traumatic nasal issue.
