Can I still get Juvederm if I have pimple like bumps on my lips? (photos)

I am getting random pimple like swelling in my lips after having had my lips injected with juvederm 5 months ago. My lips were fine the whole 5 months and now starting to have issues. Is this from the juvederm and what can I do to prevent this from happening? Can I still get filler?

issues can come months later after fillers, I suggest reversing with hyaluronidase and some steroid to ensure no scar tissue. try moisturizing and lip plumper If you do not do the hyaluronidase.   Best, Dr. Emer.

I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation.  This could be remaining Juvederm which can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.  You can still receive lip filler in the future.

I would followup with your injector for an in person evaluation. Some of the Juvederm may need to be dissolved using hyaluronidase.

Hello and thanks for your question. Swelling can occur at different times after filler- if it is bothersome you could dissolve the lips and restart. Some people find different brands of filler more tolerable for their body so you could try a different brand next time. Seek a face to face consult with an experienced and qualified injector.
