no antibiotics will not affect lip fillers at all if anything it may help the lips be less swollen, I would suggest a lip plumper and exfoliator before your fillers and after to limit bruising (see link). Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi, thanks for your question. Antibiotics won't affect the result of your filler treatment, but if you have an active infection, particularly around the lips or mouth, you'll want to wait until it is completely resolved before you get lip fillers. I would consult your provider before you have your treatment.
Thank you for sharing your question. If you have a current infection taking place necessitating the need for an antibiotic I would avoid any filler placement until it has cleared. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. If you are on antibiotics for acne then this will not affect your filler. If you are however on antibiotics for some sort of infection, I would recommend waiting and holding off on getting filler until the infection is resolved. Also, as you stated you will be starting Accutane which has no interaction with filler. I hope this helps!
If you're being treated with antibiotics for acne, there is no problem in receiving lip filler at the same time or receiving filler while on accutane either for that matter. If however you are on antibiotics for say a dental problem, I would make sure the infection is resolved and not get fillers until 1 month after to be safe.
Antibiotics will not affect the filler. However, if you have an active infection you should consult with your dermatologist before the procedure. Accutane will also not be affected by fillers.
The antibiotics will not affect your filler treatment. However if your antibiotics are for an active acute infection and not something chronic (like acne) you will want to wait until your infection has resolved before having your filler treatment. Speak to your injector about what is best in your particular case.
If the antibiotics are for a skin condition and not some kind of a serious infection, then you're safe to have your lip augmentation. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City plastic surgery
I’m assuming since you are starting Accutane soon that your antibiotics are for acne. If this is true, and the antibiotics are not being prescribed for an acute infection, you may absolutely proceed with filler injections. Additionally, filler prior to starting Accutane is NOT a risk for scarring. Many doctors do not like to perform these procedures while you’re on the medication, however, again, prior to starting should not present any problems at all. Best to you.
Hello, Thank you for your question. If you currently have an active infection please discuss your filler treatment with your cosmetic provider.
