The full 1ml was in my top lip, as my lower is much larger. Cupid's bow/philtral columns were also created, as mine were flat. Swellings gone & these are my results. I have an appt. on 5/28 for a 2nd syringe to be split btwn both lips- I want much more height/pout to my top lip & the lower to be balanced. Will a 3rd+ syringe be required to get the look I want? Should I add a Botox lip flip & if so, # units? Is the keyhole technique best for creating the division in the top? TIA!

Answer: Lip augmentation Dear meowsers2018, I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times.Another Option: For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years. In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis because I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural. Answer: Lip filler treatment results I suspect you will likely need to build the lips up over time and you will need more then just another half syringe to the top and bottom. I don't believe additional Botox/Dysport for a lip flip would help much.
