I was a plus plus size before an extended tummy tuck. Am currently 6 months post op, and I am seeing some unevenness and bulges on my tummy. I am wondering whether this will resolve on its own through time and exercise, or will I need a lipo/ revision to correct this?

Answer: Post-operative fullness Congratulations on your abdominoplasty and liposuction. You seen to be healing very well. The convexity (roundness) of your abdomen is more commonly internal fat (visceral fat) with some external fat (subcutaneous fat) on top. This area will only improve with significant weight loss and possibly a bit with anterior abdominal liposuction (this is another procedure, not included with the original abdominoplasty). The fullness laterally at your hips or flanks will require a touch up liposuction anytime. Dr. Taranow

Answer: Extended tell me tuck results I think the biggest variable keeping you from looking your best is continued obesity with excess visceral fat causing your abdomen to bulge. Weight loss is what you need to look better. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
