Help needed for flabby mom. I am 5’7 and weigh 190 Ive lost 80 lbs and ive had a stable weight for 6 months. I specifically am trying to get rid of my hanging belly but Ive looked at so many before and afters have a big concern about looking boxy or square! I want an hourglass shape. Also would i be able to get implants without a lift ? My nipples have never pointed forward and breasts have always hung but they are so deflated now. Looking for opinions on best treatment plan.

Answer: Tummy tuck with lipo and breast augmentation with lift An abdominoplasty with a diastasis repair and liposuction of your waistline (including the back) will achieve a nice hour-glass contour. Breast implants will raise the position of your nipples a bit, but not enough to place them in the center of the breast mound (ideal). So my recommendation for your breasts is a breast lift with or without an implant.

Answer: Implants without a lift Congratulations on the weight loss that is an amazing achievement. Combining an abdominoplasty with liposuction can help to achieve a small waist, it can also help to provide more shape posteriorly. A second option is to perform a 360 lift, basically a tummy tuck that goes all the way around. This is a bigger recovery, but often provides a more dramatic result. From the photos you have provided, it appears you have loose skin on your back, so this could be of benefit. Lastly, it does appear you would benefit from a breast lift, rather than implants alone. The deflation and downward pointing nipples will result in a “waterfall” deformity with implants alone. It will look like the nipple is falling off, or hanging off the implant. A second option would be to perform fat grafting at the time of mastopexy. This can avoid needing an implant, but provides a slightly different look than an implant can achieve. Hope this has helped. Again congratulations on your weight loss, and good luck on the remainder of you journey.

Answer: Hourglass shape Thank you for your question regarding expectations after procedures and for including photos. They are very helpful! First, congratulations on your weight loss! That is amazing! You could add liposuction to your flank area to prevent you from looking boxy or square. If you choose not to have a lift, that is certainly your choice. I would strongly suggest that you talk about your goals and realistic expectations with and without a breast lift with your surgeon. To be sure, I recommend that you have an in person consultation with two or more experienced board-certified plastic surgeons in your area.
