Could an umbilicoplasty remove the loose wrinkled skin above my belly button? (photo)

Hi , the skin removal from umbilicoplasty would be minimal and not result in a significant change. A reverse abdominoplasty will not provide a much better result. I would recommend an abdominoplasty instead. All the best!

hello rb0911 Umbilicoplasty or improving the belly button is an additional benefit of the tummy tuck as is removal of stretch marks ofthe lower abdomen. This can actually be done as a separate minor procedure if the belly button has been stretched or distorted by the pregnancy. An umbilical hernia can also be repaired at the same time. #removal #looseskin

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. Unfortunately with the degree of skin excess demonstrated I do not think an umbilicoplasty will sufficiently tighten your loose skin and a full tummy tuck would be a better option.  Hope this helps.

Hello Based on your photo you will be a candidate for an abdominoplasty.  This will allow us to tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the loose, stretched skin above your belly button and perform some lipocontouring simultaneously. This is not achievable with an umbilicoplasty .It cannot be smoothed out with a reverse tummy tuck either which would require large scars below your breasts and the umbilical loose skin will still be noticeable.An in person consultation would be helpful to review all these options in greater depth.Thank you

Hello and thank you for your question. Some additional history would be helpful, such as pregnancy history.  Based on your
photograph alone, you are a better candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction.  This can be done through a low and short
incision, all completely below the bikini line. 
The belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars on
the exterior.   Your muscles can also be
plicated resulting in a flat abdomen. 
Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of
real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate
their results.  The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are
comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified
board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

I don't think this is correctable with any local skin removal around the belly button.  The umbilicus appears this way because of the loose skin of the entire central abdomen.  Traditional abdominoplasty will produce the best and most predictably good results.  The scars from a "reverse" abdominopalsty are much less hidden..  I recommend reverse abdominoplasties only when patients already have an existing horizontal scar of the upper abdomen (e.g. open gallbladder scar).  If a traditional abdominoplasty is not for you, then I suggest that you accept the appearance of the abdomen as it is.  Best of luck!

Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get a tummy tuck for better results and improve the look of your belly buttom. 
Before all this, of course, you need to get a complete medical evaluation and laboratory exams to check everything is fine, please also look for a board certified plastic surgeon that help you to get what you are looking for, remember that your safety, always, must be first.

I think a discussion with a plastic surgeon in your area is needed in order to determine how much improvement would be acceptable.  I think the improvement with an umbilicoplasty will be minimal.  You are a much better candidate for the tummy tuck.
