Osteotomy - too risky? (Photo)

lglarracas
I am leaning towards getting an osteotomy since I have very wide nasal bones. However, I feel that I don't understand the procedure completely. When the bones are broken what happens to them, do they fuse back together over time? Does an osteotomy serve greater complications overtime? I feel that as of now this is the only way to narrow my nose in the slightest most natural manner.
