I had lipo almost 2 years ago I feel deformed. Board certified plastic surgeon says it looks good and relax. I want to know what this is? Is it normal? How to fix?
Answer: Liposuction I'm sorry to hear of the issues you have had since your liposuction surgery. Your photos indicate that you are a candidate for a tummy tuck. This will resolve the contour irregularities that concern you as well as remove excess skin and correct abdominal wall laxity. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation.

Answer: Liposuction results Dear Creative873900, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Poor Liposuction results Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people you believe and this includes plastic surgeons. Being board-certified and plastic surgery with a good reputation does not mean someone has mastered body contouring with Liposuction. The procedure is deceptively easy to perform but turns out to be remarkably difficult to perform well on a consistent basis. It literally takes thousands of cases and commitment to always improving. Most plastic surgeons think they are far better at this procedure than they actually are. If someone had smooth skin before Liposuction and they should have smooth skin afterwards. Skin compromise should be the exception not the rule and generally the skin should not look worse after the procedure is done correctly. Unfortunately Liposuction is A permanent and more or less irreversible procedure. It’s very difficult to correct poor Liposuction results once the procedure is done. Treatment options are generally revision liposuction, fat transfer or converting the procedure to a full tummy tuck. Considering that primary Liposuction is actually quite difficult to do well now consider revision work is many times more difficult than primary Liposuction and you start seeing the need to be in the hands of the most talented and experienced providers if you want to try to correct this. It seems like you do have some skin laxity so converting this to a full tummy tuck may be a realistic better option in your case. It’s difficult to say that or give that recommendation with limited information and a good assessment always includes an in person examination. To find the most talented providers I suggest patients have multiple in person consultations before choosing surgery. During each consultation ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures. Being shown a few simple pictures is insufficient to get a clear understanding of an average results look like in the hands of each provider. an experience provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets of before and after pictures of a common procedure like a domino liposuction. Ask the provider to show as many pictures as possible of patients with similar body characteristics to your own. You may want to ask the provider to show examples of excellent outcomes, average outcomes of less than outcomes. Finally I recommend reading all the reviews on various physician review websites avoiding providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews. The absence of justified negative reviews is more important and more telling than having an abundance of positive reviews. There are no non-surgical treatments that will improve your outcome. The primary inherent reason your abdomen looks the way it does is that you have an uneven fat distribution from Liposuction which was done in a haphazard nonstructured way. If you envision how a four year old colors in a drawing book you’ll get an idea of how many plastic surgeons do Liposuction. If you know envision a professional painter painting a wall inside a building that is how Liposuction should be done. I suggest you tell your doctor you are not be with the outcome and you should consider writing an honest but professional review about your experience. Your doctor will continue leaving people disfigured because he hasn’t been taught or figured out how to do this procedure correctly. Like I said earlier the truth is most plastic surgeons don’t do liposuction very well. If you wanna move forward with a procedure to try to correct this you need to be very selective. Anybody who claims it’s easy to fix this or some particular device will fix it for you should be taken with a grain of salt. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
