Implants plus fat transfer - how many cc can I expect to gain from the fat transfer?

Question

I met with my ps and he suggested subfascial silicone with fat transfer. My question is how many cc approximately can I expect to gain from the fat transfer, if any? I am tall and I'm debating between 350 and 400 cc. Thanks.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. While large volume fat grafting to the breast is not recommended, you can achieve a great result with implants and targeted fat grafting using 100-150cc of fat.

Hello, thank you for your question. Fat transfers to breast generate on average half a cup size so usually 50-100cc. even if 250 was injected only half of that fat survives. If you are looking for about greater than 200cc consider an implant or two or three rounds of fat injection. Speak to your plastic surgeon on outcomes. I encourage you to visit again with your surgeon for more information.  What is the purpose of having both fat transfer and implants?  The amount of fat transferred will vary by patient and will be according to the purpose of the transfer.  Typically patients are able to achieve their breast augmentation goals with implants alone unless there is a specific reason to also include the fat transfer.

Usually with fat, you can gain up to one cup, about 150 cc's, per transfer. If you want more, you need implants or several transfers.
