Can I fix my tubular / tuberous breasts with fat grafting?

Thank you for your question.  A photo will have been very helpful here.  Yes I believe it is possible to do fat transfer to tuberous breasts and I have done this before as the link below will show you but only for milder cases of breast deformity.   In the case shown, the patient received a peri-areolar mastopexy of the right breast and fat transfer to both breasts.  Best of luck.

Hello, thank you for your question. It is hard to tell without photos, implants are usually used to correct tuberous breast. Implants will provide the volume you desire. I recommend you to schedule an email, Skype or in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

The most conventional approach to a constricted breast is to perform a breast augmentation in release the base of the breast called a mastotomy. The implant is an placed in the base of the breast will adapt to the diameter of the prosthesis.

Hello,Thank you for your question. Fat grafting is a very power tool for breast augmentation and reshaping, How ever is not the great choice to correct tuberous breast by itself. This is one instance that implants are important for reconstructing your breasts. Fat grafting also could be used  to give you more upper chest fullness. emta1I appreciate your concern, however photographs would help to provide a more detailed answer. Constricted or tuberous breasts usually are defined by a very tight lower pole of the breast and to a certain degree, herniation of the nipple areolar complex. In milder cases, placement of implants beneath the muscle and release of the lower pole constricted breast tissue provides a very reasonable result. However the breast implant is needed to maintain the release and shape of the lower pole of the breasts. Fat transfer is insufficient to maintain that shape. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to confirm my advice. Good luck.

Without photos-all views, and the benefit of physical exam- it's difficult to give the best answer re/ your case. Depending on the severity of tuberosity ( and if in fact it present) - there're multiple surgical techniques that can be implemented. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS to go over your options

tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall.
Tuberous breasts can rarely be corrected without implants or at least a small one. The breast needs to be scored radially from the inside to expand it. If you don't place an implant behind the radial scoring it will fall back to its original state. You could theoretically remove the implant at a later day and graft with fat but that would be a separate surgery.

You would need an examination to see if fat grafting will be adequate for you. If your tubular shape is minimal, then fat transfer might work. Otherwise, implants will reshape and hold the new shape in place.

In selected instances fat grafting (if you have sufficient fat to graft) and radio-frequency (Renuvion or Bodytite) skin tightening can correct the deformity if it is mild.  The best approach is to have an exam and the advice of an experienced surgeon specifically addressing your unique and particular situation.
