After 1 week, we have our patients slowly introduce medical-grade products into their skincare routine. It is always best to follow up with the provider that you received treatment from and follow their recommendations. Skin care is an important investment to help maintain your results and help prevent reoccurrence.
We have our patients apply Elta cream for the first few days, then they can use any non irritating creams such as Aveeno cream for 1-2 weeks. After that, they can then return back to their normal skin care regimen including using a good sun block. Check with your doctor to see what their routine is.
Congratulations on receiving a HALO Laser treatment -- at one week you should just use a great moisturizer and sunscreen - we do not have our HALO laser patients use anything special after one week. You can discuss your specific skin care regimen with your doctor as well.
Each physician will have his or her recommendations for skin care post treatment. There is generally agreement that a good sunscreen is important (with many agreeing that it should SPF of 30 or more and broad spectrum). Other skin care recommendations should be tailored to your specific needs.
First,it's great that you're making sure to establish a good skin care regimen aftergetting laser skin resurfacing. This will help extend and improve your results. It's important that you apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protectionfactor (SPF) of 30 or more daily. I also encourage patients to use a qualitymoisturizer whenever the skin feels dry. At my practice we recommend ZO SkinHealth, a comprehensive line of professional-grade skin care products designedfor daily use. We offer a 14-day post-ablative ZO Skin Health program toprovide skin with proper nutrients and moisture during this healing process. Thanksfor your question.
Hi and thank you for your question! We have our patients resume or start on a skin care regimen to address their concerns and skin type. We offer many different products at our office. Just a few that we often suggest are one of the serums from iS clinical (super serum, pro-heal or active), possibly Recovery Complex or TNS Essential from Skin Medica, and/or a Retinol and skin brightener, such as Lytera. We would definitely have you come in for a consult with one of our providers to be sure we have you on products that will enhance your results from the Halo and help you maintain them, as well. Feel free to call our office for questions. Best, Dr. Grant Stevens
After 7 days post treatment, you may go back to your regular skincare routine. We stress the importance of using a physical sunblock that has Titanium Dioxide and/or Zinc Oxide. If you have no clue on what to use, schedule a consultation with an esthetician. I wish you the best of luck.
After a Halo Treatment we require our patients to use pure medical grade hyaluronic serum for the first 24 hours. Some will opt for PRP treatment afterwards, which is not necessary but does seem to speed healing. PRP is platelet rich plasma which is extracted from your own blood and then plated out on your skin after the treatment is completed. After 24 hours a return to your normal skin care products is allowed. Only exceptions are no physical scrubs, no glycolic or sal acid cleansers or lotions, or any retin A products for a full week. After a week all products are allowed.
