Had consultation w/my PS last week & really like him. A question I have is his method of incisions / technique. I can't remember if he called it a J incision, or if that's how I remember it. He makes the regular incision around the areola to reduce size, 1 vertical incision down, and 1 horizontal incision toward the armpit. Is this a normal technique? Will I get the same result as the anchor lift? He said he'd also do a small amt of lipo. I can't seem to find anything on the internet?

Answer: How common is a "J" incision for a standard breast reduction? Can the same great lift & shape be achieved as w/ anchor?

Certainly deep vein prophylaxis is worthy of consideration based on your history. I was certainly discuss this with your surgeon. I'm not sure it's a good idea but certainly wouldn't criticize anyone who would use Lovenox.
