3 months post op, is this normal?

At 3 months most patients do not see any growth of the transplanted hair.  The grafts will begin to grow at different rates between 5 to 6 months after transplantation.  The grafts go into a dormant phase for this period of time and then start to grow each at different rates.  You can expect to see results around 12 months after your procedure.

Transplanted hairs may take 6 to 12 months for growth.  If you are worried about the progress, you should follow up with your doctor.

At 3 months I most patients don't have any growth, though some do. You have no cause for worry, as it usually takes closer to 6 months to start seeing growth. In some cases it may take 9-10 months and patients are still happy with the end result. Just be patient and try not to worry too much in the meantime. 

Most people have little if any results at 3 months so what you are describing is typical of what is to be expected. 

This can take up to 18 months and in some cases people get no results at all(this is medicine after all).  If you chose a reputable doctor/clinic then odds are in your favor.  Make sure to maintain close follow up.

Your doctor should have told you not to expect any hair growth for at least 5 months. Most people will start growing their hair from 5-7 months and by the 8th month the hair should be about 1 inch or more long.
