Why is my skin raised? How can I fix this? Why has this happened? I'm so unhappy and if my skin wasn't raised and there was a gap I would have perfect cleavage :( no one else's are like mine I don't understand
Answer: Internal Bra / Synmastia Repair Good morning! You have a significant case of synmastia, probably as a result of overdissection of the pockets during surgery. The key to the correction is in your surgeon selection- this is probably the most difficult revision in all of breast augmentation, so choose your surgeon wisely- if they cannot show you numerous examples of their own work where they have successfully corrected it then you need to keep looking until you find a true revision specialist.I use the Internal Bra, my strong permanent internal suturing technique which reattaches the overlying tissues to the bone. This technique works and it lasts over the long term. I have attached a link to my Internal Bra / Synmastia Repair photo gallery for your review- hope it helps!

Answer: There's something wrong please help me! The skin in between my beasts will not go down! I am 2 and a half years Po. Thank you for your pictures and questions. Sorry to hear you are having trouble. It appears from the pictures that you are having early development of symmastia. This can occur when the implants chosen for you were too large for your chest dimensions or the implant pocket was placed too medially or your implant has become medially displaced over time.Correction of this problem is often difficult and requires different advanced techniques. The repair will somewhat depend on the details of your original surgery in terms of implant type, placement, etc. You should seek a consultation with a plastic surgeon familiar with breast augmentation revision and they can examine you and advise you of the options available to you.Best of luck!

Answer: There's something wrong please help me! The skin in between my beasts will not go down! I am 2 and a half years Po Dear emqueenOne of the possible complications after breast augmentation is medial displacement, leading to tenting and even synmastia. If your implants are above your chest muscle, this is a simple problem to solve, switch the implants to under the muscle in a new pocket. If your implant is under the muscle and you want to keep it in that pocket, then suture techniques and dermal grafts and other modalities can help. Look for an expereicned plastic surgeon, see more than one consult and make a well informed decision.

Answer: There's something wrong please help me! The skin in between my beasts will not go down! I am 2 and a half years Po. Thank you for your question.I am sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing after breast surgery. Based on your description and pictures, it is clear that you are experiencing a breast implant displacement problem. In your case, the medial (toward the cleavage) breast implant displacement can cause "tenting", and the visual concern of the nipple/areola complexes being off centered on each breast mound, and may be associated with discomfort ( in areas where the breast implants are putting pressure on the underlying skin/tissues). Generally, the breast implant displacement can be corrected using an internal suture technique, decreasing the size of the breast implant "pockets" and moving the towards the outside. In my practice, this repair is done with a 2 layered suture technique. The use of acellular dermal matrix is also an option, depending on patient physical examination and history, especially if significant implant rippling/palpability is present. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to revisionary breast surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Synmastia or Symmastia after breast augmentation Hi, Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, without pictures it is difficult to determine what is going on. Although it does seem like you have a condition where the skin in the middle of your chest lifted up after your augmentation. Now one of the implants is sliding over that way. This condition is known as Symmastia. It is correctable and it will depend on how much it bothers you on if you fix it or now. If it looks 'weird' you may want to consider have it corrected. I hope you found this helpful. Best wishes
