I have a300 cc gel implants that were done done Dec 2006. I have since had my Son and am now pregnant with our Daughter. My breasts have become saggy and I want my nipples lifted. I also have fat in my abdominals, back and inner thighs that I would like removed and transferred to my buttocks. I realize this is 2 major surgeries so I would like to know if it is best to do them separately? Also how long after pregnancy and nursing should I wait to have the surgeries? Thank you so much!

Answer: How long after pregnancy/nursing should I wait to have breast lift? Thank you for your question. You will need to wait until all your milk is completely dried up after you stop nursing before having any type of elective breast surgery. This is typically 2-6 months after you completely stop nursing, but it is different for everyone. You will know when your milk is dried out when you are no longer able to express any milk from your breasts.Regarding the fat transfer surgery, you will need to have an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss this. They will be able to tell you if you are candidate for the procedure and also if you are able to do them at the same time or separately.

Answer: Breast surgery after breast feeding Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, I ask that mothers wait 4-6 months after the cessation of breast feeding. If they can not express anything from their breasts at 4 months then they can go then. If you do not breast feed, then it will take at least a few months to have your breasts return to a new baseline. Best wishes
