Does a lower blepharoplasty get rid of crows feet? Please don't suggest botox. It does not work on me in this area. Can you please suggest which treatments work best?
Answer: Photos would be helpful If you have significant lower eyelid skin excess, then a lower blepharoplasty with skin/muscle flap would potentially address the lower half of the crows feet, the area closer to the cheek, but would not address the crows feet closer to the eyebrow. Laser resurfacing or chemical peels are the best way to deal with the skin wrinkles around the eyes, as long as your skin tone is not too dark. Photos would definitely be helpful for a more personalized recommendation.

Answer: Lower Eyelid Surgery Benefits Thank you for your question. Lower Eyelid targeting the fat under the eyes and loose skin which has started to lose elasticity. You have to be fairly conservative with Lower Eyelids as you do not want your eye pulling down. This procedure is not for crows feet removal. You need to ensure enough Botox is being used as all patients have different stretch muscles. Alternatively, a deep laser such as co2 laser can help smooth the fine lines. All The Best

Answer: Botox-resistant Crow's Feet Thanks for your question. It sounds like you have tried botox to the crow's feet area, but this has not given you the results for which you had hoped. It is important to recognize that neuromodulators (e.g. botox) are primarily effective in treating dynamic lines, or those that become visible when you animate your face (e.g. smile, laugh, etc.). If you have static lines, or those that are still visible when your face is relaxed or in a neutral expression, these typically respond better to different forms of treatment. It is hard to offer more helpful information without a photo. In some cases, if the crow's feet lines connect with a lot of redundant skin folds on either the upper or lower eyelid, blepharoplasty may be helpful. I recommend seeing an oculoplastic surgeon for an in-person exam to determine what is causing your crow's feet lines to persist despite neuromodulator treatment, and to devise a treatment plan that suits your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Crow's feet A good strong browlift, an upper blepharoplasty, and laser resurfacing gets rid of crow's feet. And good sun protection coupled with reparative skin care. You are correct, Botox alone will not permanently improve crow's feet. Lori L. Cherup , MD, FACS, Pittsburgh
