I had a consultation with a surgeron for a rhinoplasty more than 6 years ago. At the time I didn't go through with the procedure but paid for the 3d imaging results. I'm going back to the surgeon this time to go through with the procedure should I pay to have the 3d imaging done again? I was in my late 20s then and now in my mid 30s, would my face and nose changed enough that it is a must to do the imaging again? or does it not matter at all?
Answer: 3D Imaging Good Afternoon! 3D imaging can be very useful for conveying your desired changes. I often use 2D to accomplish the same result, though. So, paying for it again is up to you and the surgeon. A difference of 6 years most likely won't make a significant difference, but I would recommend taking new photos to ensure. With aging, the tip and rotation can change as well as the surrounding structures of the face. Your goals then may not be what they are now. At minimum, get some new photos and discuss. Hope this helps you!

Answer: Simulation prior to Rhinoplasty surgery. Hello and thank you for your question. For simulations, we do require your most recent pictures. What I tell my patients is that simulations give us ideas of what you like out of the surgery but they are never 100% accurate. I don't prefer to use simulations but if my patient feels comfortable with simulations then I will create one and show them. If you already shared your expectations with your surgeon and received a simulation I don't think you should pay for another one as it won't give you the exact results and he already has a good understanding of what you are looking for. Best wishes.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Most surgeons don’t charge for imaging. Maybe I should. Good way to make extra money. You can always call the office and ask. And why do you need imaging again? Do you have your previous pictures? I’m sure the surgeon does.

Answer: I had a consultation with a surgeon for a rhinoplasty 6 years ago. Should I get new imaging to preview the results? 3D imaging is not a reliable way to determine the choice for your Rhinoplasty Surgeon as the most important element in this process-is the experience of a Surgeon, skill and technique utilized and consistent results reflected in the before+after galleries. Any Surgeon who has less than 10 before and afters in their gallery for Rhinoplasty - should be avoided.

Answer: Consultation six years ago, should I get new imaging to preview the results Your nose has not changed in six years, So your old imaging would be acceptable, and there's no sense in paying for that again. Rhinoplasty is one of the most difficult procedures to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your surgeon wisely based on extensive experience producing natural results. While computer imaging is important in the education process, it's more important that your surgeon has extensive experience producing natural results. Study your prospective surgeon's rhinoplasty photo Gallery.
