Any breast reduction procedure is characterized by moving the nipple in a superior direction (upwards) and then reshaping the breast around the new nipple position. In order to do this, the surgeon must keep a certain amount of tissue around the nipple and a certain amount of tissue on the skin itself. This typically results in a breast size that fits the body very well. However, it means that the surgeon is fairly limited in how small he or she can make your breasts as they must keep a certain amount of tissue on the remaining skin to prevent the patient from having significant wound healing issues.

breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual.
