Hello, thank you for your question. Areola asymmetry is a possible risk factor of breast lift and breast reduction surgery. Although we try to make it as symmetrical as possible we simply cannot predict the healing factors or the amount of stretching out that will take place. To start with areolas and breast tissue are not identical. I think with a small revision you can help improve what is bothering you. I would speak to your doctor again to review your options and what the potential outcome will be.

An in person examination is always best, but from your description it is likely you will have an improved result from a revision. Asymmetry can be addressed as well as nipple positioning. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.
