What can I do about my implant fold?

My new silicone implants are almost 6 months old and my L side seems to be folded just a bit. I feel rippling under my nipple, actually on both sides but just more noticeable on my L side. I was advised that another surgery was not needed at this time. Just to massage more (to get the implant to settle) and to wear bigger bras (possibly to tight). Anyone had the same issue? If so, what did you do?

Thank you for your question.  It is a little difficult to determine exactly what you are talking about without an examination.  If you have only a small amount of breast tissue and a large implant, you may be able to feel the implant under the nipple.  If the implant pocket is tight, the implant may not fully "unfold" or lay out and may create a fold.  There is not a whole lot to do other than massage and see how it settles.  Follow the instructions of your surgeon.  He or she can advise you from there.

Hello,It is very difficult to discern exactly what is wrong, but two things stand out. Rippling under your nipple should not occur, and the recommendation to massage as a remedy to anything is unacceptable, as implant massage does not fix problems.Please get second opinions from cosmetic breast surgery experts. It is difficult to answer your question without an exam or more info about your implants. In general, it is very uncommon to have 'folding' of an implant. Ripples maybe, but folding - no. I suggest getting an opinion from a board-certified PS for an exam and advice.Best wishes,Dr K
