I think I have a very rare condition called Chromhidrosis. I have colored sweat. I only get the colored sweat in my upper cheek area. The best way for me to describe it is like black ink coming out of my pores. I don't get this anywhere else but my upper cheek area. I've been dealing with this for about 2 years. Is there anything I can do to try and stop this condition?

There is no cure for this, I have tried facial precision Tx (laser liposuction) on one person with success.  The other option is to surgically punch out each little spot (or the largest ones) and then laser or radiofrequency them after.  Both are safe in the right persons hands.  Otherwise there are really no options, botox can be tried at low doses and this has helped another patient of mine.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Treatment of chromhidrosis is challenging and there are no effective treatments as they are likely to recur once treatment is withdrawn.Studies have shown that chromhidrosis regresses when age related regression of these sweat glands occur.BestDr KaramanoukianCenter for Excessive Sweating

Botox can be used to treated excess sweating in many areas, including the area you've mentioned.  You should consult with a qualified derm or plastic surgeon who has experience in this condition.  Expect a little over 6 months out of every treatment.  Most patients who have it are very satisfied in our practice.

Using a technique I have coined called micro Botox, which is placement of very small amounts of Botox in the superficial layer of dermis, you can control both acne and sweating. The Infini will also cause permanent injury to the sweat glands, which might be a preferred choice. I have used Infini on the underarms for sweating and it works long term.
