What makes the masseter getting bigger again after Botox injection?

hi i want to ask. what makes the masseter grow bigger again after 6 months? is it my jaw masseter will grow bigger again because the botox is granually lose the effect or yes the botox reduce it permanently but the masseter will become large again because i used it for chewing food?

Botox for masseter reduction works by relaxing the masseter muscle and not allowing it to "work out".  Just like any muscle in the body, during the 3-4 months the Botox is active the muscle will atrophy.  After the muscle regains its movement, it will again be able to grow in size.  Most patients will receive treatments every 4-6 months to maintain the slimming effect.

Botox reduces masseter size by causing atrophy of this muscle.  As the Botox wears off, portions of the muscle can regain size again as it repeatedly contracts with chewing.
