Sinus infection immediately after Botox. Will these side effects subside soon?

Thank you for your question.  Botox does not sinus infections.  Sometimes patients get headaches from the injections, but when this happens, it only lasts a day or so.  It is certainly possible that you have a sinus infection and that this was a coincidental occurrence unrelated to your Botox injection.  I would recommend seeing your injector so they can evaluate you and determine if you need referral to a headache or sinus specialist.  I hope you feel better soon!

It is highly unlikely that the sinus infection you
are experiencing is related to your Botox injection. However, the pressure you
described in your post can feel a bit exaggerated due to the combination of the
two. The best thing you can do is to take it easy and try not to be too anxious
while you are recovering. If you are still uneasy about your situation,
schedule a follow-up appointment with the doctor who performed your Botox
procedure. 

Thanks for your question; I'm sorry you feel so bad. Headaches can occur from Botox, but they tend to result from inflammation in the treated muscles. If your nose is quite congested and you feel pressure/pain in your sinuses, please visit with your doctor to get treated for your sinus infection. You should feel better within a couple of days of starting treatment.Remember, Botox only affects the muscles that it is injected into. It doesn't affect the underlying bone or sinuses.Good luck!
