I had Kybella done 7 weeks ago and the results are good but I still have 2 nodules under my chin/neck that are slightly uncomfortable when pushing on them. Is this normal?!

Fat is dissolved by the kybella injections that we perform in our NYC practice. Inflammation is a normal necessary component in the body's response to get rid of the fat. Yes, lumps are pretty normal and these should not keep you from getting your next Kybella treatment. Kybella is a safe and effective medication that melts fat and requires 2 to 4 treatments for best results.

Thank you for your question. It is not abnormal to have some lumps after Kybella treatment. They will usually resolve with time but may take several weeks. I would recommend massage of the area and discussing it with your surgeon. With time it should resolve and I hope you are happy with the results!

Yes, this can be normal and they will typically resolve in several weeks after treatment. Keep in mind, with Kybella a combination approach would be best to get the most improvement. I recommend Kybella with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is an alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. the first and thus-far only FDA-approved non-surgical injectable treatment for
the double chin. Hard lumps or nodules can form after a Kybella treatment and go away slowly on their own. This can take a few months. Patience is important. Please

It is completely normal to have some lumps, bumps or "nodules" following your Kybella treatment. They should resolve within 6-8 weeks. If not, see your injector.

One of the side effects of Kybella is swelling and nodules at the treated area.  These nodules resolve in weeks and I would wait until the nodules resolve before receiving the next injection of Kybella.  Best, Dr. Green
