Hi there. Any type of blood thinner will increase the chances of bruising. With not being on any type of blood thinner such as Aspirin, there is bruising, which can take 1-2 weeks to heal. IPL can treat a wide variety of skin problems. It can be used to remove red spots or reduce redness and can help with or rosacea . IPL treatments can also help to smooth uneven skin texture, close large pores, and eliminate wrinkles by stimulating collagen growth. I would consult with your PCP and who will be providing you with your treatment prior to. There are many things you can do to help reduce bruising such as Arnica, Bromaline, or by simply eating fresh pineapples! Best of luck to you.
I appreciate your question. Treatments like IPL are minimally invasive, but they can lead to a bit of bruising in some patients. Blood thinning medications will increase your odds for bruising as well. Most of these side effects are relatively mild and subside without intervention within a week or two. However, this is an important point to discuss with your provider before treatment so your doctor is aware of the risk. Always work with a board-certified dermatologist who is well-versed in IPL techniques to minimize side effects and ensure an optimal outcome.
Anytime you are on a blood thinner the risk of bruising goes up. As far as bruising with IPl it depends on what you are wanting to treat, if you are treating superficial veins bruising can happen but if you are treating pigment bruising is not likely.
Any time you are on blood thinners you are more likely to bruise. That being said, bruising is not a common side affect of IPL. The light/heat does not break the dermis, thus unlikely to bruise. Please be sure to let your provider know all the medications you are taking. Best of luck to you!
While you may be more susceptible to bruising, it is unlikely that an IPL treatment would cause this to occur. Having said that, i would recommend that you share your concerns with your provider so they can be aware and make any necessary adjustments. Many of my patients take aspirin daily and while this can cause increased potential bruising with injectables, I have never seen bruising with IPL treatments.Best wishes,Pamela Stuart, MD
Telangiectasia are small, visible vessels that appear on the skin’s surface. They are best addressed using a vascular laser like the Vbeam or IPL. I would encourage you to schedule an appointment with a board-certified dermatologist who can give you a definitive diagnosis and create a t...
Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis. We see atrophic and hypertrophic scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus...
Looks like your skin is burned. I would recommend keeping a Growth factor serum and cream to help speed up the healing and minimize any chance of scarring. You will also need to keep it out of the sun and keep a Physical sunscreen on.
