I have a over 2 years old pink scar on my nose bridge to Dorsal. I was told it is telangiectasia and that RadioFrequency/IPL (Pulsed Light) Radiofrequency (RF) will help. How dangerous is this? What are the side effects? Pulse dye laser and BBl has not helped. Is RadioFrequency/IPL (Pulsed Light) Radiofrequency (RF) safe? Are there other options?

Telangiectasia are small, visible vessels that appear on the skin’s surface. They are best addressed using a vascular laser like the Vbeam or IPL. I would encourage you to schedule an appointment with a board-certified dermatologist who can give you a definitive diagnosis and create a treatment plan based on that. Both of these treatments are safe and highly effective when used by an experienced provider.

Telangiectasias are tiny blood vessels that are usually best treated using vascular laser like VBeam or Excel. You may need more than one treatment session for optimal results. I would not expect RF to help with telangiectasias. IPL may help.
