What are my options to get my smile back after masseter botox?

Hi I got masseter botox done almost a month ago and I realized that my smile has changed significantly and not for the better , what are my options to get my smile back if any?

The simplest way to get your smile back after a Botox treatment to the masseter muscles would be to just let the Botox wear off by itself.  I am not aware of another method to correct this problem. This issue can normally be avoided by keeping the injections toward the back part of the masseter muscle and not injecting toward the front.

Botox injections to the masseter muscle can affect other nearby muscles which can affect the smile. Fortunately botox is temporary and its effect will usually wear off after approximately 3 months so you will eventually get your smile back with time.

If your smile has changed significantly after masseter Botox, it's likely that some of the toxin got into the muscles that pull your smile. This can cause asymmetry. This effect should be temporary and wear off when the Botox wears off in 3-4 months.

Dear yntorr 30,  As previously answered, Botox lasts about 3-4 months and you will get your original smile back. Your masseter muscle lies close to muscles that affect your smile and it is extremely important to avoid hitting those muscles that impact your smile while injecting, and hence it is important to choose an injector who is well versed with facial anatomy. Prevention in this case is best. Perhaps go back to the same injector or seek a second opinion on what can be done to lessen the impact of your changed smile. There are no pictures posted so would be difficult to make recommendations.
