I am 33 years old and noticing some facial imbalances as I age/ lose weight. I have a slightly indented area on the left side of my forehead, starting a bit from my temple and into the area above my eye. My right side is not as indented. I know it is difficult to tell without seeing the patient or a photo, but can this area be conservatively filled to wide that area of the face and make it more feminine? I do not want to touch any other area of my face.
Answer: Sculptra to temples Although further assessment is needed prior to any recommendations, Sculptra is a great product to use in hollowing areas of the face, such as the temples. This injectable is composed of poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates deep collagen growth which will allow volume to be restored to the areas that it is dispersed. Please note that depending on your desired results, you may require multiple vials and sessions of Sculptra. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in office consultations with board certified experts to discuss your aesthetic goals. This way, they can work alongside you to determine your best treatment option. Best of luck, Kian Karimi MD, FACS

Answer: Facial Sculpting Candidate -- Fillers, Threads, Fat Transfer, Implants, See an expert This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Seems like a reasonable plan to try to match the more hollow side to the fuller side Hi, Your suggestions seem reasonable. It sounds like only this area seems to bother you and no other area. If this is the case, some temple/lateral forehead filling may restore some of the volume and improve symmetry of your face. Whether simply filling that area will make your face more feminine would be hard to say since there is some subjectivity to that assessment. Very full temples may or may not be more feminine. It may even look a bit juvenile, so too full isn't good either. Improved symmetry in the volume between the two sides seems like realistic expectations. Hope this answer provided some value to you. Good luck. Best, Dr. Yang

Answer: Temple filler Hello and thank you for your question! Temple filler is a great option to get an immediate boost of Volume in the area and can help soften the shadowing and indentation. Depending on the injectors technique, filler placed in the area may minimally help to lift the tail end of the brow as well. Most fillers are hyaluronic acid based which means they are metabolized by our bodies over time and may be reversed if necessary. Another option for the temples to replace volume would be collagen stimulating injections such as Sculptra. This can be coupled with the filler or done separately, anything collagen building wise will take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to see results. I suggest making a consultation with a provider near you! Hope this helps!
