I have had a BA 8 weeks ago, saline under the muscle, crease incision, right 500 cc filled to 560cc, and left 420 cc. My left breast feels great like I never had surgery, however I'm still feeling pain along the crease and outside of the right breast. I don't have another follow up appt until mid January. (3 month follow up)
Answer: Pain Since very individual processes pain differently, it is impossible to comment on what is normal. It is common to have asymmetric pain. But since yours on the one side seems to not be diminishing, I think it would be smart to be assessed in person by your surgeon. Always best to err on the side of caution -- Dr. Nazarian

Answer: Is this pain normal 8 weeks after breast augmentation? I appreciate your question. Patients can experience pain in different degrees for up to one year following surgery. I would recommend that you contact your surgeon so he/she can examine you at this time. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. best of luck! Dr Schwartz

Answer: Different healing rates After a breast augmentation, it is not unusual to have discomfort in only one breast. At six weeks it should be improving. If this has been a sudden change then I would get into see your plastic surgeon as quickly as possible, otherwise I would at least follow up with a phone call since you do not have an appointment for another month.

Answer: Pain 8 weeks post op Remember, no two breasts ever look the same or heal at the same rate. Some discomfort can occur at 8 weeks but if you are experiencing intense pain, best to follow up with your operating surgeon so you can be seen in person and properly examined/evaluated.
