Weird sensations years after breast augmentation.

Question

I've had my breast done going on 6 years... incision under the nipple, 400cc implants. Was a 32d now a 32dd...No problems except a double bubble...Since I've gotten my breast implants, I always notice very weird sensations. Sometimes it feels like I have a tiny drop of hot or cold water dripping on my breast or armpit...it's slightly electrical/warm/burn-y and lasting one or two seconds...Its VERY random when I get them but I notice them more when it's that time of the month...what gives?

What you are describing is probably caused by the implant pushing on certain nerves and is perhaps worst at that time of the month due to hormonal swelling. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Hard to answer since many factors may be at play but this could just be due to the positioning of your implants, especially if they are impinging upon a sensory nerve or the nerve regenerated incorrectly. If it gets extremely bothersome, best to f/u with your operating surgeon so you can be properly examined and evaluated in person.

Sensations as described by you are caused by nerve endings in the breast. They are normal after breast augmentation.  Little implant movements can fire up those nerve endings.
