Feeling tired and fatigued after rhinoplasty. Will this improve with some time?

It is very common to have fatigue in the days and weeks following surgery.  Symptoms such as those present for months after the surgery are likely unrelated to your surgery but an indication of a systemic issue.  I would strongly recommend you see your internist and a gastroenterologist for management of your ulcerative colitis. In the weeks following rhinoplasty, it is not unusual to have some element of fatigue in the recovery period. At 5 months, this is unlikely to be related to your rhinoplasty. Make sure you are following up with your rhinoplasty surgeon because they may be able to offer some suggestions or recommendations on how to best treat this problem. Good luck. 

Fatigue after surgery is to be expected. Usually the first few weeks the body is using a lot of energy to heal and this leads to general fatigue. At 5 months, I would not expect the fatigue to be related to your surgery. I would recommend seeing an internist who can perform a complete work up. Best of luck

Thank you for your question and there is  greater chance that your fatigue is related to the ulcerative colitis and not the surgery on your nose so see your internist or family MD and be evaluated.Dr. Corbin
