you need a tummy tuck and when you need a tummy tuck NO noninvasive technology will work. it would be better for you to get on hormonal therapy and peptide injections and lose weight then weight till you can get you tummy tuck (see link). in the mean time you can do trusculpt ID+FLEX with no downtime but likely will get minimal results.

my whole practice is doing lipoabdominoplasty, or at least liposuction with internal heating (which is not the gold standard for skin tightening with body contouring).

the smaller you are before liposuction the more contouring you can get from the procedure. most of my liposuction patients get pre and post surgical optimization with hormonal therapy (see link to help boost their weight loss before surgery and help them heal after).

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. Thanks for the photos-they were very helpful! I think that a great option for you with minimal downtime would be BodyTite. This is a minimally invasive procedure that will melt your fat but also tighten your skin by 2 methods - contraction of small fibrous bands under your skin to immediately tighten the skin during the procedure, as well as stimulation of collagen production which will continue for up to 9-12 months after your procedure. This has been a game changer for many patients who have a little laxity or jiggliness but not large amounts of loose or excess skin. Liposuction is great for removing fat but does nothing to tighten skin, which is why you were told you might need a tummy tuck. CoolSculpting can remove the fat but does nothing to tighten skin. BodyTite down time is only a few days for most patients and I have never had a patient who had BodyTite that the few days down time wasn't worth the results that she achieved! For best result, you need a single procedure where both skin and fat can be treated. Some physicians will even add Morpheus RF microneedling to further tighten the skin. I would suggest getting consultation with a physician who is experienced in BodyTite but also does CoolSculpting so you can be properly assessed and advised as to the best treatment option for you. Coolsculpting is not a replacement for a tummy tuck or liposuction . Once the Coolsculpting applicators were updated several years ago there are very few individuals that have nerve pain , and hardening of fat does not occur (enlargement of fat is very rare) . A formal in person exam is best but your issue probably has some degree of diastasis recti which is why a tummy tuck was suggested . This is due to loose abdomen muscles from pregnancy which liposuction or non invasive modalities will not improve . Treating the subcutaneous fat will be partially beneficial and you should do fine with coolslculpting with the expectation that it’s not a full correction . Skin tightening with other non invasive procedures such as trusculpt is minimal at best
