Can you get CoolSculpting on your double chin when you have chin filler?

I have recently had chin filler but am looking into CoolSculpting to get rid of fat under double chin. Will this procedure dissolve my filler?

Thanks for your question! There is  no problem with treating with CoolSculpting if you have had fillers. The applicator is placed under the chin. I recommend consulting with a local CoolSculpting provider in person to determine exactly what you will need!

Thank you for your question! Coolsculpting is safe to do on the "double chin area", even if you have had filler on your chin. Make sure you wait at least 2 weeks after you get the filler done before you move forward with any other procedures in the area. Coolsculpting only targets the subcutaneous (pinchable) layer of fat. When CoolSculpting is used to treat a double chin, the applicator is placed under the chin.  Fillers used to augment the chin are normally placed in front of the chin and not under it, so in this situation, a CoolSculpting treatment to improve a double chin would not affect any filler in the chin.

It depends on where the exact skin contact with the applicator takes place. It could totally be fine as long as the applicator and skin with filler are not in direct contact. Visit a trusted practitioner to know more.

Great question. CoolSculpting is an amazing  treatment to get rid of stubborn areas of fat, including the double chin. I recommend to my patients who want sub mental fat reduction and dermal fillers at the chin and jawline to start with CoolSculpting as this may impact the amount of fillers needed for optimal results. However, it is generally safe to proceed with CoolSculpting 2 weeks after dermal fillers. Rarely, I have seen only one case of dermal filler related late onset nodules after CoolSculpting.
