I am a female in my 50s. I'm not overweight and am in pretty good physical shape. However, I would like my thighs to be slimmer and look more toned, especially in shorts and a swimsuit. I live in a warm climate so my legs are on display much of the year. I've read about both procedures but am not sure which would be best and most cost-effective.
Answer: CoolSculpting vs. CoolTone The right procedure for you will depend on what specifically you are trying to accomplish. If fat reduction is your primary focus, CoolSculpting might be your best bet. I have found that this treatment does result in some mild skin tightening for some patients. If toning is your goal, CoolTone or Emsculpt might be better options. This treatment targets the muscles rather than the fat, stimulating muscle activity to produce results similar to many workouts in a single session. No matter which procedure you choose, make sure it is performed by a board-certified physician and body contouring expert to ensure the best possible results.

Answer: Another great option for providing a more defined look on the inner thighs would be to do Morpheus8 Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: CoolSculpting or Emsculpt for slimming/tightening thighs? Ultimately, an examination of you would really be needed to determine if CoolSculpting or Emsculpt might be a better treatment to help slim and tighten your thighs. CoolSculpting is used to reduce fat, but it will not tighten or tone. Emsculpt and CoolTone are used to tone muscles but not reduce fat. If you have little fat, then one of the muscle toning treatments may be better for you. If there is some fullness from fat, then CoolSculpting could be used to help with that. Sometimes, both treatments can produce the best results.

Answer: CoolSculpting CoolSculpting can be administered in a variety of areas on the body, including the jaw and chin area, lower and upper abdomen, back, arms, and thighs. The process works through the use of cryolipolysis freezing technology. You can do Emsculpt after to tighten the muscles.

Answer: Typically Emsculpt would be the winner, or a different option all together Usually for thigh toning and/or slimming I'd chose Emsculpt over coolsculpting. I have treated thighs with good success in building muscle and improving skin quality. It isn't talked about much, but I find in most of my Emsculpt patients the skin quality appears significantly improved (not just gain in muscle). My impression is that it is more than just having tissue tighter from increase in the underlying muscle. It could be from he improved blood flow during the treatment or there may be something else going on. If the issue is more related to loose skin vs muscle tone, my go-to in office is the NuEra tight. Very happy with the results from this, although there are many options that are good options (Exilis Ultra, Emtone, thermi250, etc). The best result for most non-surgical body contouring is from combining treatments that compliment each other (and typically use different mechanisms of action). Hope this helps. Cheers, Dr. JD McCoy
