Im 25, and will be getting braces next week. Now I have an extreme overbite that will get better with braces. And my jaw looks crooked because two teeth in the back are tilting and it is effecting my bite, prior to these teeth tilting I don't recall my jaw being crooked (I don't think) but I hate my chin, and I want it fixed in a timely manner. What are my solutions?

Answer: Genioplasty or Jaw Surgery The short answer is your orthodontist will evaluate your teeth and bite. If your overbite/deep bite cannot be corrected with braces, than you many need jaw surgery to correct your bite. This will also effect your chin position. If the bite is OK when the teeth are aligned, than your chin may be augmented with a genioplasty (either moving the bone or placing an implant).

Answer: Chin Augmentation if your bite issues are going ti be solved by orthodontics, then the chin can be augmented by whether an implant or a sliding genioplasty. Given your relatively small horizontal chin deficiency, I would choose an implant for your chin augmentation.
