Thank you for your question. If the area you want to shave is far from the incisions that should not be a problem. Just avoid the incisions so there is no irritation. Best of luck.Dhaval M. Patel Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Hoffman Estates Barrington Oakbrook Chicago Orland Park
Thank you for your question. The only limitation to shaving would depend on where the drain come out. If the drain are along the incision, then a week after surgery would be ample. If the drains are placed in the mons area, then you have to wait until those openings close.
You may want to wait a few weeks after surgery to allow for any irritation to resolve. Avoid the incision and any open areas. Be sure to shave with the growth of the hair versus against. Best wishes.

However, if the wounds are far from the are you want to shave, you can do it about seven days after your surgery, just be very gentle and careful when shaving.Best of luck

It sounds like your drainage is normal. The fluid should be watery in consistency. Small clots are also normal. Keep in contact with your surgeon about any concerns that you have. It is important that you feel comfortable and confident in your recovery.
Swelling can still be present at this point in recovery, but with your history of pseudobursa it is best for you to return to your surgeon for an evaluation. Typically patients wear the compression garment for 6 weeks after surgery. This can vary by patient ans surgeon, so it is best to check...
