Here are photos before I ever had anything done. Then here are the photos of my most recent (3 week ago) Juvederm. My smile had a bit of crookedness to it. But Now i have a spot that only shows when I smile that my smile is REALLY crooked. I am to the point of dissolving it all and I feel like I have lost my smile but I love the smoothness and fullness...... I would appreciate input on what to do as I have 2 daughters getting married this year and don't want my smile to look horrible.
Answer: Dissolving Lip Filler with Hyaluronidase Thank you for sharing your concerns about your recent experience. You are correct in saying that you have a natural asymmetry of the upper lips. While dermal filler is the best way to correct this asymmetry, it appears that your left upper lip is overfilled compared to the other areas of your lips. I recommend returning to your injector to discuss your concerns. He/she may suggest dissolving a portion of the filler with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. After the filler has dissolved, your injector can evaluate you to see if more filler is warranted. Best of luck!

Answer: Uneven lips Hi there, It appears that right side of upper lip has received more injection therefore it's showing more volume. Fundamentally, your maxillary (upper) jaw has canting. Upper jaw itself is sitting slightly lower on the right side. It is normal and not uncommon among population. Pretreatment photo shows that your lips are symmetrical. However, due to the canting of upper jaw when you smile it gave appearance of "crooked" smile. Going along with other recommendation here I agree first with using hyaluronidase to touch up the right upper lip to even the volume. We want left and right to be exactly symmetrical comes to lips. Secondly, I would recommend 1-2 units of botox lateral to right side of nose to target muscles that raise the mouth when you smile. When you show more gum one side more than other it's a easy give away that your smile is uneven. By weakening the muscle that raise the right side of upper lip you should be able to "even" out the smile therefore reducing the perception of crooked smile. Hope this helps!

Answer: Lips appear crooked after filler Thank you for your question and for submitting your photos. It may be possible to salvage most of your filler, and only dissolve the areas that appear asymmetric with hyaluronidase. I would recommend discussing your concerns with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

Answer: Jevederm help In actuality there is very little change in your face and the smile. The left side of your mouth corner was always higher prior to the procedure as it is now after the procedure has been performed. My advice is that you accept the overall Improvement in your face and stop focusing on small details which were not obvious to you before the treatment. Good luck from New York City

Answer: Juvederm help Hi, I have performed many lip augmentation procedures using dermal fillers or lip implants for over 30 years. From the photos, your upper lip is too large when compared to the lower lip and has an added fullness on one side making the lips and smile appear asymmetric. You may want ask the MD that did your lip fillers to inject some hyaluronidase to the upper lip fullness which will dissolve some of the extra HA filler, in that spot, to even out the upper lip. If you want to balance the lips, some fullness should be added to the lower lip or the upper lip should be made smaller by dissolving the HA filler as described above. Following my beauty principles, the upper lip should be approximately 75 % the size of the lower lip for the lips to appear balanced. When the upper lip is of equal or larger volume than the lower lips, "duck lips" are created. Dermal filers and lip implants offer a much more reliable volume for augmentation of the lips than permanent fillers or fat injections which are associated with increased, unwanted, side effects. Hope this helps.
