I'm 5'8, 34AA, and 128lbs. I am choosing to go with Mentor's MemoryShape Anatomical implants but can't decide size to achieve the look I want. My goal is to be a full C cup, small D cup. The first picture is not me but looks exactly like my breasts. The other pictures are my goal sizes. I don't want anything too big, I want to be able to play them up or down with the type of bra I choose to wear What do you think would be the best option for me. Btw if it helps my P.S. measured me at a 13cm width.
Answer: Size of implant There is not a big difference in size between the two, so go bigger. Many women wished they had gone bigger after the surgery.

Answer: When considering implant size, it's generally better to go with the larger of 2 choices. Most women wish they had gone a bit bigger after they have grown accustomed to the breast augmentation. I suggest you go with the 395cc.

Answer: I am having problems with picking an implant size. The best cosmetic result in any particular breast augmentation patient depends on a variety of factors, including: your individual anatomy, realistic expectations, a thorough discussion with the plastic surgeon about the options, and an understanding of the pros and cons of any particular implant choice. Proper sizing is not just about the number of cc’s. The thickness of your tissue, breast dimensions which include the width, height, and projection, as well as chest wall width all need to be considered when choosing an implant. Trying on implant “sizers” of various shapes and volumes while wearing a tight t-shirt, bra, or bathing suit at a preoperative visit will help you and your surgeon choose the optimal implant. There are no manufacturers' standards for cup sizing in the bra industry. The cups of a 32 C and a 38 C are significantly different. Cup size varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and even within styles from any particular manufacturer. Keep in mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest your plastic surgeon be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: What size implant to choose? Thank you for the question and providing photos of the look you are hoping to achieve. When you say small D cup I would think of larger breasts than the photos you posted. I think you are choosing a good size with the anatomic implants and will have a nice result with either implant. Discuss with your plastic surgeon your wishes and ask his opinion as online photos cannot provide enough information for me to give a definitive recommendation. In my practice, if someone cannot decide between two sizes I will often place sizers during the operation and choose whichever implants looks the closest to your goal. You should have a great outcome either way. Good luck!

Answer: I am having problems with picking an implant size. Should I go with 395cc or 355cc? My goal is to be a full C cup. Thank you for the question and pictures. You are starting at a good place and should have a very nice outcome with breast augmentation surgery. As you consider breast augmentation surgery, the most important decision you make is NOT size/profile of breast implant, but selection of plastic surgeon. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining which operation and/or breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "full C, small D cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Therefore, I ask that my patients not base their communication preoperatively OR their satisfaction with the outcome of surgery postoperatively, on achieving a specific cup size. The use of computer imaging may be very helpful during this communication phase. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery. The use of temporary intraoperative sizers, viewing the patient's breasts in the upright and supine position, are very helpful during the breast implant selection process. Remember, especially given your petite frame, that there may be limits as to how large of a breast implant can be utilized “safely” during your procedure. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to breast augmentation for petite patients), helps. Best wishes.
