I’ve had pronounced/deep lines under my eyes for as long as I can remember. My 5 year old son has them too so they are clearly genetic and hereditary.

The deep groove seen is a function of the overlying protruding malar bag. In experienced hands, fillers can be used to camouflage the separation and create a more gradual transition between the upper cheek region and the lower eyelid area. Make sure to find an experienced, board certified aesthetic physician injector and be wary of medspa, storefront, and non-physician and non-core physician injectors. Best of luck.

You have is a congenital difference in the orbital ligaments that begin at the orbital rim.  The majority of the population has a ligament that attaches across the edge of the orbital rim.  You have a split ligament, with the medial part traversing down the cheek and laterally. The depression is from another congenital difference in that you have lack of soreness pushing the tissues up and straightening the ligament. Treatment is placing filler below this ligament. Make sure you see an expert in treating this area, as most people would place a light filler superficially which will not correct it.
