I'm considering getting a Juvederm treatment for marionette lines. Will it effect my dimples?

My medical cosmetic professional said for $900 Juvederm injections would erase the marionette lines and guaranteed the work would last at least one year. My trademark feature is natural dimples in each cheek. I don't want to use Juvederm if the treatment would "freeze" my dimples or make them disappear. Is this a risk? $900 may be a good price in Oklahoma City, but it's a big investment for me.

Juvederm (ultra or ultra plus) works well to soften the marionette crease.  Filler treatments do not affect muscle movements or facial expressions, so your dimples should not be "frozen" or changed.Good luck!

Injecting filler into your marionette lines will not affect your dimples. There is no guarantee that the product will last a year as longevity varies between individuals. It may be worth while to look in to a few clinics to check prices - ensure you find an experienced injector. Hope this helps.

The results of Juvederm are instant so you can monitor the progress as your doctor is injecting and you can stop when the results are optimal.  Juvederm is also reversible, so if you do not like the results, it can be instantly rremoved.

Hi Susie,Juvederm  will not freeze your dimples.  Normally fillers will improve your marionette lines. In most areas that move you will get somewhere between 6-9 months of improvement. Be wary of any guarantees. Hope this helps

Filler injections should not affect dimples.  I am surprised you may have been told the enhancement is guaranteed to last a year, however. You should realize that the filler is slowly metabolized over a period of 6 months to a year.  Perhaps he or she is planning to use Voluma, which lasts two years or more.

Your dimples will not be affected if Juvederm is injected for your marionette lines. Those lines will go away, but it will not freeze anything on your face so your dimples will still absolutely be present. I would caution you that Juvederm may not last you a year when injected into the marionette lines. In areas that move more, like the mouth and around the mouth, fillers tend to go away faster just because there's so much movement there.
