Can you mix CoolSculpting and Kybella to eliminate fat under the chin area?

The advantage to CS is that more fat out to the sides can be treated with overlapping (advanced) protocol, while Kybella can be used with precision.  Good luck!

Yes, usually a combination approach is needed to get improvement. Coolsculpting in combination with Kybella, thermage, ultherapy, and exilis will improve under the chin. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is an alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. Thank you for your question. While it is probably safe to follow CoolSculpting with Kybella, the more important question is making sure that you have the right diagnosis. Sometimes submandibular glands and neck muscles can masquerade as residual fat.  In this case, Kybella is unlikely to help and may actually be harmful.  This is one of the challenges and limitations of non-surgical treatments...they are modestly effective, but often leave patients dissapointed or spending more out of pocket than a more definitive procedure would have.  To be certain, seek a second opinion from an independent physician prior to undergoing another treatment. This is a reasonable approach - to use Kybella for the "clean-up" areas remaining after Coolsculpting.  Alternatively, a little liposuction under local anesthesia could be performed.

You can definitely alternate or switch between these two treatments to get optimal results.  Probably not the type of treatments that you would want to combine in one visit but alternating between these treatments is no problem and will likely yield great results.  Best of luck!

You can definitely mix treatments for targeting submental fat.  I like treating the "leftover" fat with Kybella because I am able to tailor the amount of Kybella injected to target certain areas appropriately.  This will give patients optimal results.

We have had multiple patient's combine their treatments. You stated that you were treated over a year ago with Coolsculpting, so opting to do the Kybella treatment at this time would give you the optimal result to complete the process.

You can most definitely combine the two procedures to get more effective results.  CoolSculpting, with the CoolMini applicator, is good if you have a moderate amount of fat under the chin.  After a treatment or two, you can fine tune the results with Kybella.  Combining the treatments should produce optimized results.

This can absolutely be done. We usually get great under the chin results but Kybella is a great adjunctive therapy for any left over fat.
