Breast aug 390cc saline under muscle. My doctor says I need to wear a breast band for 4-6 weeks and wear No bra. This seems unrealistic to me because I want to wear somewhat normal clothing without my nipples showing after. Can I wear a bra with it? And do I need to wear then band that long??

Answer: Breast band after augmentation There is wide variability in what different surgeons will recommend after augmentation surgery -- some say to wear the band, others do not, some advise massage while others don't, etc. I personally do not have patients wear a compression band after surgery, instead recommending a gentle support bra for several weeks. Having said that, I'd recommend that you follow the advice of your Plastic Surgeon. You trusted him enough to let him operate on you, I'd trust his instructions, too. He probably has a good sense of what works well with his patients.
