1 year post op, can using Breath Right strips damage my new nose? (photo)

It’s been a little over a year for my third nose job, very unfortunate but my breathing is horrible. I literally can’t breath through my nose without wearing a breathing strip almost every night, the problem is when I wake up and take it off my nose is always extremely swollen and decreases in swelling slowly throughout the day, am I going to permanently damage my nose by using these breathing strips each night?

Dear Plucky1339, An intranasal examination would be needed to determine the cause of your breathing difficulties. Has your septum or turbinates been addressed during any of your procedures? As far as the Breathe Right strips go they can be irritating to the skin due to the adhesive. I would see your surgeon for a follow up appointment and discuss your concerns. It is important with rhinoplasty surgery that the nose is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
